The air fryer is a game-changer for anyone with a sweet tooth: baking Toll House cookies in the air fryer is unbelievably easy and convenient.
Gone are the days of preheating your oven, waiting around, and dealing with a baking sheet. Instead, your trusty air fryer basket or air fryer tray is the new cookie sheet. Add a piece of parchment paper and you're on your way to a no hassle clean up. A wire rack is all that's needed to cool the golden brown delights to perfection.
If you thought traditional ovens were the only way to achieve that classic cookie goodness, think again. The air fryer has brought me great results, and I bet it will do the same for you.

Take the dough out of the fridge and allow it to warm up at room temperature until it's just pliable (about 5 to 10 minutes).
Preheat the air fryer at 325 degrees for 5 minutes.
Separate the cookies and place them in either the basket of the air fryer or on the air fryer tray. If you want a quick clean up, line the tray with parchment paper. I like to buy the ones that fit my particular air fryer rather than cutting out pieces to fit. Don't overcrowd the air fryer tray; hot air needs to circulate around each cookie for that perfect bake.
Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes. Allow the cookies to remain in the air fryer for 5 minutes to cool off. Then, remove from the air fryer with and allow to finish cooling a cooling rack for 5 to 10 minutes.
Hint: I really appreciate the ability to only use as many cookies as I want from a package and save the rest for another time. There are those times when you only want a cookie or two and this is the perfect answer.
This particular recipe was made with a Cosori 6.8 qt air fryer. If you're using a different brand of air fryer, you may need to adjust the cooking time and/or temperature accordingly as not all air fryers cook the same.
Expert Tips for Perfect Cookies
I discovered that the secret to achieving that ideal golden brown finish on your air fryer cookies lies in mastering the cooking time. It took me a few tries, but I finally nailed it down to a sweet spot of 7-8 minutes. This timeframe ensures the cookies come out perfectly every time. Since all air fryers are different, carefully monitor the cooking time in your air fryer and check the cookies for doneness around the 5 to 6 minute mark so that your don't over cook them.
Once those delicious cookies are done, I learned that cooling them on a wire rack makes a world of difference. It seems to let them breathe and settle into that classic cookie texture we all love.
Try These Treats Next Time You Crave Something Sweet
I've learned something magical: baking refrigerated cookie dough in my air fryer has become my go-to method when my craving for sweets strikes. Not only does it save me time, but the results are consistently delightful. I discovered that the air fryer's hot air helps to create golden brown edges while keeping the inside perfectly soft.
The first time I tried this, I was surprised at how well the cookies came out and they were ready in less time than it would take in a traditional oven. Whether you're using a Cosori air fryer or another model, I encourage you to give air fryer chocolate chip cookies a try. The next time you crave something sweet, remember that your air fryer can do more than just savory dishes - it's great for whipping up quick, delicious cookies too.
